DIVE PACKAGEs - scientific diving- Underwater Photography
At Coral Point we have a number of dive packages to choose from and various special trip combinations including Peñon and Catalina. Flexibility is our strenght. We always keep our groups small to offer a more personalized and relaxed experience, away from the crowds. Maximum number of divers per Divemaster is 4, with us.
We are also community oriented, science-based dive shop dedicated to marine research, education, and conservation. We aim to furthering on-the-ground conservation actions, and overall widening of public engagement for the protection of marine ecosystems and resources.Our diving team is supported and collaborates with several marine biologists as well as with highly trained diving instructors and guides in scientific diving and in the recollection of data on the health of local reefs.
Our actual focus are three:
- Comunity and Monitoring Programs: Coral Point Diving is beginning a vital campaign to protect Bayahibe's coral reefs through collecting and evaluating data at three important regional diving sites: the Atlantic Princess Wreck, Magallanes Reef, and Matthew's Reef, among others
- Dive Against Debris: our intention is crystal clear: we want to remove the garbage that has made its way to the beautiful reef in front of our dive shop and Bayahibe area.
- Coral Nursery: Coral nurseries provide a location where corals can be propagated and grown, for this reason we participate in several coral nurseries programs around Bayahibe. As with many coral restoration programmes, the staghorn coral (Acropora cervicornis) is ideal to use, due to its ease of fragmentation and growth, and it’s endangered status. The ultimate goal of coral regeneration is to help nature nurture itself. Every reacreational diver is welcome to visit and discover our conservation work
Do you also want to become an underwater photographer too and have memories from your undewater adventure? With us you can also take photos and receive them in a portable memory, by renting one of our undewater cameras (go pro), and using it under the supervision of our experienced instructors. The choice of dive sites is made based on the sea conditions, the weather and the level of the divers we have on the boat. Obviously we offer different sites every day to divers who dive with us, for several days if they wish. Our dive packages are like below (prices are per diver and are based in U.S. dollars. )

Coral Point has specialized in personal private/group packages which means that you as a client are central in all what we do. After many years of experience in the diving industry, we recognise that there is a need for a more personalized approach with our diving customers.
from punta cana
If you are staying in Punta Cana, remember that the drive from Punta Cana to Bayahibe now is only 40 minutes, since the opening of highway Coral. It is a safe and modern road. For this reason you have different options if you want to dive with us in Bayahibe.
from casa de campo
If you are staying in Casa De campo in La Romana we can offer you a customized trip by sending you a taxi. The transfer from Casa de Campo in La Romana is offered at a fee of $80. This is a round trip and it is the same fee or groups of up to eight people.
from cruise ship
If you arrive on a cruise ship at La Romana we can offer you a customized trip by sending you a taxi at your arrival time. The transfer from La Romana Dock is offered at a fee of $80.It is a round trip and it is the same fee for groups of up to eight people.
