Activities In and Around Bayahibe

Wondering what to do when you visit Bayahibe?  Well of course, you should go diving!  Bayahibe has over 20 local dive sites all located a short boat ride from the shore including both reef and wreck dives.

When not diving, you might also wish to consider some other activities offered in and around the village; how about trying…

– a day trip to Saona Island or Catalina Islnad

– snorkeling

– deep sea fishing

– parasailing

– stand up paddle boarding

– relaxing on the beach in Bayahibe or neighboring Domincus

– take a hike through La Parque Nacional del Este (the National Park of the East) and check out the caves where artifacts from the Taino Indians (the first inhabitants of this area) have been found

– taking a land tour to explore the sugarcane fields just outside Bayahibe and learn about the processing and exploration process of this valuable resource, or spend a half or full day at nearby Rio Chavon seeing the countryside or kayaking on the river, or take a dune buggy ride through the countryside to name a few of the options available
